Terms of Use

These Terms govern the RemodelCalm website and any private-beta access Designed Calm LLC provides to you. By creating or accepting an account, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Community Standards. If you use RemodelCalm for an organization, you must have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 and located in the United States to use the private beta unless Designed Calm LLC agrees otherwise in writing. Provide accurate account information, protect access to your email and devices, and tell support promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.

What RemodelCalm provides

RemodelCalm organizes residential-remodel communication, roles, records, materials, costs, schedules, media, decisions, and handover information. It is a coordination and record service. It is not a contractor, architect, engineer, insurer, accountant, attorney, escrow service, emergency service, building authority, or substitute for professional judgment.

Authority and decisions

Use only roles and approval limits you are authorized to hold. A project owner controls membership and delegation. Messages, reactions, polls, reported completion, or a name typed into chat do not authorize scope, cost, schedule, procurement, payment, or acceptance. An action counts as a RemodelCalm approval only when the service presents an explicit decision record and the authorized person completes it for the exact revision shown.

Your responsibilities

You remain responsible for contracts, permits, licenses, inspections, site safety, code compliance, insurance, payment, taxes, lien notices and waivers, professional advice, retention duties, and checking field conditions, measurements, invoices, deliveries, and completed work. Keep independent copies of records required by contract or law. Verify critical information before relying on it.

Your content

You keep the rights you have in content you provide. You give Designed Calm LLC a limited permission to host, process, secure, display, export, and administer that content only as needed to provide and protect RemodelCalm. You must have permission to upload project documents, plans, images, videos, personal information, trademarks, and copyrighted work.

Acceptable use

Follow the Community Standards. Do not misuse the service, probe or bypass security, access a project without permission, falsify evidence, impersonate another person, introduce malware, scrape private information, interfere with other users, or use RemodelCalm for unlawful activity.

Safety, review, and appeals

Designed Calm LLC may preserve evidence, restrict content, remove project access, suspend an account, or take another proportionate step when we reasonably believe it is needed to protect people, projects, rights, or the service. Use the in-app report control or Support to report a concern. To appeal a content or access decision, choose “Safety or content report” in the support form and begin the message with “Appeal.” We will review the original decision, the available record, and any new context you provide.

Electronic records

Ordinary app activity does not create a legally binding electronic signature. If RemodelCalm later offers electronic signing, separate disclosures and consent will identify the document, signer, intent, attribution method, completed copy, evidence, retention, and withdrawal process. Until then, do not treat a message, reaction, poll, or test signing workflow as a signature.

Fees

The current private beta does not charge a fee unless you and Designed Calm LLC enter a separate written agreement. If a paid plan or in-app purchase is introduced, the price, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms will be shown before purchase and these Terms will be updated as needed.

Availability and changes

The private beta may contain errors or experience interruptions. Features may change as we learn from testing. We may end beta access, but we will use reasonable efforts to explain a material change and provide a practical way to request your information when the service supports export. Do not use RemodelCalm as the only copy of a record you must retain.

Ending access

You may stop using RemodelCalm and request account deletion through the app or Privacy Choices. Designed Calm LLC may suspend or end access for a serious or repeated violation, security risk, legal requirement, or discontinued beta. Project records and deletion are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

Disputes and legal rights

Contact hello@remodelcalm.com first so we can try to understand and resolve a concern. Applicable law governs these Terms. These Terms do not waive a right or remedy that cannot legally be waived, and they do not create a mandatory arbitration agreement or select an exclusive court.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the beta changes. We will post a new effective date and provide additional notice when required. If a material update requires renewed acceptance, we will ask before continued use.
