Privacy Policy

RemodelCalm is a shared workspace for residential-remodel projects. This policy explains how Designed Calm LLC handles information when people visit the website, request early access, contact support, or use a RemodelCalm private beta.

Information we handle

• Website and early-access information: name, email address, professional role, form details, and basic request and security information created when the site is used.
• Account and membership information: name, email, user identifier, organization, project role, invitation status, and approval limits.
• Project information: property address, rooms, specifications, schedules, preferences, materials, bids, costs, insurance and warranty records, notes, decisions, audit history, and handover information.
• Communications and content: project messages, reports, photos, videos, captions, documents, receipts, and support requests.
• Security and service information: authentication, device-generated recovery identifiers, command and audit activity, and diagnostic details needed to secure accounts, synchronize authorized records, diagnose failures, and prevent abuse.
• Connected-service information: information received from or sent to an integration only after an authorized user initiates or connects that workflow.

RemodelCalm does not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, use project information for third-party behavioral advertising, or use uploaded project content for unrelated model training.

Why we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries; provide and secure accounts; invite authorized participants; enforce project roles; synchronize records; preserve decision and evidence history; organize project media; provide support; investigate reports; prevent fraud or misuse; comply with law; and improve service reliability.

How information is shared

Project information is shared with authorized participants according to membership and role. Restricted reports are limited to the reporter and authorized reviewers. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, or as part of a properly structured business transaction subject to applicable safeguards.

The public website is hosted by Netlify, which processes website requests and form submissions for us. Production app hosting, authentication, storage, email delivery, diagnostics, payments, and integrations will be listed here when they are enabled for customer use. Supabase and Resend are under evaluation for the private beta; they should not be treated as active subprocessors until the production service is configured.

Project administrators and other participants

A project owner or organization may control membership, access, exports, and retention for a project. Other participants may upload information about a property or people working on it. Customers must provide required notices and obtain permission before adding another person’s personal information, image, voice, document, or work product.

Retention and deletion

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the service, the request that brought it to us, customer instructions, account and project administration, security, backups, contracts, warranties, disputes, tax, insurance, and legal obligations. The length depends on the record and why it is needed:

• Early-access details are kept while we evaluate and communicate about the beta, then removed when they are no longer useful or when an eligible deletion request is completed.
• Support, privacy, safety, and legal records are kept while the request is open and afterward when needed to document the response, protect people, prevent repeat abuse, or meet legal obligations.
• Account and project records are kept while the account or project is active and as needed for authorized participants’ records. Eligible account-deletion requests have a target completion period of 30 days.
• Short-lived technical and security records are kept only for a reasonable diagnostic, fraud-prevention, recovery, or backup period.

Project ownership may need to be transferred before deletion. Some records may be de-identified or retained when required for contracts, warranties, disputes, tax, insurance, security, another participant’s legitimate project record, or law. We will explain an applicable exception when responding to a verified request.

Security

RemodelCalm is designed to use authenticated commands, role-based access, encrypted transport, device Keychain storage for session credentials, audit records, and other administrative and technical safeguards. No system is perfectly secure. Do not post passwords, access codes, complete payment-card data, government identifiers, or unrelated sensitive information in project chat or public forms.

Your privacy choices

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, export, deletion, restriction, or information about how your information is handled. You may also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising a privacy right. Visit Privacy Choices. We verify identity and project authority before disclosing or changing project information.

Because RemodelCalm does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no sale or advertising share to opt out of. We will honor legally required browser-based opt-out signals if our practices change in a way that makes them applicable.

Age and supported territory

RemodelCalm is intended for adults age 18 or older who are managing or participating in residential-remodel projects. It is not directed to children. The private beta is currently intended for users in the United States. Website providers may process information from locations where they operate; do not submit project information through the public website forms.

Changes

We may update this policy when the product, providers, or law changes. We will post a new effective date and provide additional notice when required.
